How to block a IP if apf firewall is installed
Run this command as root

A) /etc/apf/apf -d IPHERE COMMENTHERENOSPACES
> IPHERE is the IP address you wish to block
> COMMENTSHERENOSPACES is obvious, add comments to why the IP is being blocked These rules are loaded right away into the firewall, so they're instantly active.

Example: /etc/apf -d 185.14.157.123 TESTING
 
How to block a list of IPs if apf firewall is installed
1. Edit the file /etc/apf/deny_hosts.rules
2. Insert all the ips to blocked at the bottom and then save the file
3. Now restart the firewall
# /etc/init.d/apf stop; /etc/init.d/apf start
 
Disabling/enabling ping monitoring to a linux server
Run these command as root

echo 0 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/icmp_echo_ignore_broadcasts
echo 0 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/icmp_echo_ignore_all ==> To enable ping

1 for ping Disable 0 for Enable
 
How to check what IPs are connecting to your server and how many connections are for each of them
netstat -na | grep "serverip" | awk '{print $5}' | cut -d. -f1-4 | cut -d: -f1 | sort -n | uniq -c | sort -n

Example: netstat -na | grep 192.168.1.104 | awk '{print $5}' | cut -d. -f1-4 | cut -d: -f1 | sort -n | uniq -c | sort -n
